Knutemor Bolero
Knutemor is a short and airy bolero that is worked top down. It has raglan increases for the sleeves and all edges are finished with an I-cord. The knot on the front is created by twisting both front pieces around each other and sewing them together on the wrong side. Knutemor fits perfectly over a dress on cool spring days or a fresh summer evening.
Yarn: Air by Drops, Bris by Viking or Alpakka Magic by Dale.
Amount of yarn: 5 (6) 6 (7) 7 skeins.
Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL.
Measurements: In this instruction, the size is chosen according to your own measurements. The reason for this is that the chest circumference of the boleros depends on how tightly the knot is pulled together on the front side. Guideline measurements for the choice of size: Chest circumference: 80-84 cm (87-91 cm) 94-98 cm (101-105 cm) 108-112 cm. If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the small size. This way, the bolero will fit snugly, but not tightly. Otherwise, you can go down one size.
Recommended needles: Circular needle 5 mm (30, 40 and 80 cm).
Gauge: 18 stitches in stockinette stitch on needle 5 mm = 10 cm.
