Curly Wurly Sweater
Curly Wurly Sweater is worked in bouclé yarn for the ruffled expression, together with a second thread of yarn for more fullness and to avoid holes. The sweater is worked to down with a larger opening at the neckline for a zipper. At the front piece, you work short rows and raglan increases for the sleeves. At the end of the body, further short rows are worked, so that the back piece is slightly longer than the front piece. At the sleeves, short rows are worked, too. They are finished with ribbed cuffs. Finally, you attach the zipper to the sweater.
Sizes: S/M (L/XL)
Measurements: Chest circumference approx. 112 (131) cm. Total length (centre front) approx. 62 (68) cm. Total length (centre back) approx. 70 (76) cm. The total length is measured from the shoulder’s top. Sleeve length approx. 51 cm (for both sizes). The sleeve length is measured from below the armhole opening.
Recommended needles: Circular needle 6 mm (80, 40 and 30 cm). Circular needle 5 mm (40, 60 or 80 cm). The 30 cm circular needle can be exchanged by dpns or the Magic Loop method.
Gauge: 13 stitches in stockinette stitch = 10 cm.
Yarn: Teddy Dear and Cashmere Lace by Gepard Garn.
Amount of yarn: 12 (14) skeins Teddy Dear and 3 skeins Cashmere Lace (for both sizes).
Supplies: 30 cm zipper, pins, sewing needle and thread.
