Curly Wurly Slippers

The Curly Wurly Slippers are worked both in the round and back and forth in rows. You start at the heel and work your way to the top of the slipper. The top is shaped with decreases and the remaining stitches are pulled together. Finally, you felt the slippers in the washing machine for the desired result.
 
Yarn: Pillpi from Rauma or Alpaca Bouclé from Drops. 
Amount of yarn: 4 skeins for all sizes in Pillpi or 3 skeins for all sizes in Alpaca Bouclé. 
Sizes: 35/36 (37/38) 39/40 (41/42). 
Gauge: 18 sts in stockinette stitch on needle 4 mm = 10 cm. 
Recommended needles: Circular needle 4 mm (60/80 cm) and dpns 4 mm. Remember that the needle size is just a recommendation. Knit a gauge swatch first!
 
WATCH OUT! Felting is not an exact science and the result depends on several factors. Depending on which washing machine and/or which washing program is used or even with which other garments your work is washed, the result can vary. Some test knitters have reported that different colours behave differently when felting. You just have to try it out for yourself and make your own experiences.
