Curly Wurly Clutch

Curly Wurly Clutch is worked back and forth with an opening for the zipper. The edges are sewn together before felting and the zipper afterwards. The bouclé yarn makes the clutch soft and curly.
 
Yarn: Pillpi from Rauma, Curly from Järbo or Alpaca Bouclé from Drops. 
Amount of yarn: 1 skein Alpaca Bouclé/Curly or 2 skeins Pillpi. 
Size: One Size. 
Measurements (finished clutch): Approx. 24 x 16 cm. 
Recommended needles: Circular needle 4 mm (40 cm). 
Gauge: Before felting: 18 sts in stockinette stitch on needle 4 mm = 10 cm. 
Extra: 20 cm zipper (not dividable), thread with similar colour to yarn, pins and sewing needle. If desired, a snap hook.
 
WATCH OUT! Felting is not an exact science and the result depends on several factors. Depending on which washing machine and/or which washing program is used or even with which other garments your work is washed, the result can vary. Some test knitters have reported that different colours behave differently when felting. You just have to try it out for yourself and make your own experiences.
