Curly Cuff Stocking
The Curly Cuff Stocking is worked top down. The top is shaped with decreases in the round and the remaining stitches are pulled together. The curly cuff is worked as one long tube and attached to the stocking after felting.
Yarn: Vams PT3 and Pillpi by Rauma. Yarn alternatives for Pillpi by Rauma: Mohair Bouclé by Mohair by Canard, Curly by Järbo or Alpaca Bouclé by Drops.
Amount of yarn: 3 skeins Vams PT3 and 1 skein Pillpi.
Size: One Size.
Measurements: Width (after felting): approx. 18 cm.
Gauge: Vams PT3 before felting: 16 sts in stockinette stitch on a 6 mm needle = 10 cm. Vams PT3 after felting: 18 sts in stockinette stitch on a 6 mm needle = 10 cm. Pillpi (no felting): 18 sts in stockinette stitch on a 4 mm needle = 10 cm.
Recommended needles: Circular needles 4 and 6 mm (40 cm), dpns 6 mm. Remember that the needle size is just a recommendation. Knit a gauge swatch first!
WATCH OUT! Felting is not an exact science and the result depends on several factors. Depending on which washing machine and/or which washing program is used or even with which other garments your work is washed, the result can vary.
