Bring Back Baby Jacket

Bring Back Baby Jacket

Bring Back Baby Jacket is worked flat in garter stitch. It is worked top down, with the right and left side worked separately. Sew these pieces together and work the ribbings at sleeves, body, neckline and front bands at the end. Use your yarn scraps or play with different colour combinations from your stash. Please do not forget to check the correct gauge! It may be helpful to use the same kind of yarn. This makes it easier to achieve the same gauge with the same needle size.

Yarn: Pop Merino by HipKnitShop.
Amount of yarn: Col. 1 (Juicy Red) 1 (2) 2 (3) 3 (3) 4 skeins, col. 2 (Falling For You Blue) 2 (2) 3 (3) 3 (4) 4 skeins, col. 3 (Jelly Bean Green) 1 (2) 2 (3) 3 (3) 4 skein(s), col. 4 (Cheesecake) 1 (1) 1 (1) 2 (2) 2skein(s). The instruction has more detailed information about yardage, so it is easier to choose an alternative yarn or to work with stash yarn. There are also tips on how to use less yarn by making slight changes, so you may need 1-2 skeins less than indicated.
Sizes: 6 months (1) 2 (3) 4 (6) 8 year(s).
Fit: The jacket is designed with an oversize fit. The pictured kid is 1 year and 3 months old, 82 cm long and wears size 1 year.
Measurements: Chest circumference 64 (70) 73 (77) 80 (84) 89 cm. Inner sleeve length 16 (20) 24 (26) 28 (31) 35 cm (with folded cuff, as pictured). Total length, excl. ribbing at neckline, approx. 26 (30) 33 (37) 41 (45) 49 cm.
Recommended needles: Circular needle 3,5 and 4 mm (80 cm), dpns 3,5 mm. If you work with the Magic Loop method, you can skip the dpns. The needle size is just a recommendation. Please knit a gauge swatch first!
Gauge: 22 stitches x 40 rows in garter stitch on needle 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
Supplies: 5 (5) 5 (5) 6 (6) 6 buttons. NOTE! The pictured model was worked with 1 button hole less than stated in this instruction.
